A special American/fall treat. Simple and easy, not a common dessert that you hear about every day. I had never even eaten them if that says anything. I learned how to make these from Andrea who is an expert. When I asked her if she had a stick recipe she said no and she mentioned that she just invented it when she quit her job and created her own business of selling these sorts of treats.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
-Good quality milk chocolate
-Good quality white chocolate
-Chopped almonds
-12 granny smiths apples
-smooth caramel
-wooden sticks to stick in apple
Stick the wooden stick in each of the apples. Dip your apples in the caramel. Scrap the bottom with a spoon and place on big parchment paper.
You can tell when they are ready to get dipped int he chocolate when they are easy to take off of the parchment paper. If they are not then you should let them cool for a little bit more.
Make sure that your chocolate is melted and dip your apple in it, take some sort of spoon and scoop some of the chocolate over the apple to make sure it is everywhere on the apple. Place it again on the parchment paper. For those with the almonds make sure they are completely chopped in small pieces when they are too big it is not good. Dip the apples in it while the chocolate is not melted and roll it around to make sure the almonds go almost everywhere around the apple. For the ones with the white chocolate let them sit until you can not see the shiny part of the milk chocolate.
When they are ready to make sure the white chocolate is completely melted and take a small spoon and drizzle the white chocolate over the apples while turning the apples using the wooden stick. When done place on parchment paper. And let cool.
The best way to eat the apples is to cut them in small pieces.
And then you can eat them and enjoy
