Hamantaschen cookies

These are more precisely Jewish cookies eaten in the holiday of Purim. I personally find them underrated. Like Noa said, "very addictive and delicious". These treats have a whole Jewish story that comes with it. Of course, I have to give credits to Noa who said she found this recipe on the internet.



Here is the recipe:

Ingredients

-1/2 cup of margarine(or butter)

-3/4 cup of granulated sugar

-1 egg

-1 tbsp of milk(or almond milk)

-1 tsp of vanilla extract

-1 tsp of grated lemon zest

-1 1/4 cups of all purpose flour

-1/4 tsp of baking powder

-1/4 tsp of salt

-chocolate bar

Instructions:

Mix butter and sugar in a large bowl until creamy. Add the egg, milk, vanilla and continue stirring until all ingredients are combined. Add the dry ingredients and continue mixing. Scrape down the sides with a spoon or spatula to make sure all ingredients are combined in the batter. The dough should be very thick and sticky. Place in the refrigerator or freezer until it gets cold and hard. When Noa made the cookies she put the dough in the freezer for around 15 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and using a drinking glass form rounds. Place a square of chocolate and form

into a triangle.

Place on a baking pan and bake at 200 Celcius. There is no specific time for the cookies to bake. The most important thing is that they do not burn. You can tell when they are not burned when the back is not burned or has the color black on it.
