Namibian Spare Ribs

These ribs are not like any other. The sauce contains a sweet taste and the meat is always cooked right. A dish for parties, special occasions etc. As a child, I always remember these ribs that Sam my neighbor would make at her parties. People who have had them don't ever forget them.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

-1 rack of spare ribs per person

-200 ml of hot water

-2 Tablespoons of honey

-1 Tablespoon of Worcester sauce

-2 Tablespoons of Soya Sauce

-3 Tablespoons of Mrs balls original chutney

-1 teaspoon of dried oregano

-1 teaspoon of dried thyme

-1 teaspoon of dried, powdered Rosemary

-Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 180 degrees-heat from top and bottom. Add all of the ingredients except the ribs and mix well. Place the ribs in a pan with tin foil. Place some of the marinated sauce on the ribs. Cook for 1 hour and make sure it is closed with tin foil for the first hour. After an hour of cooking take the ribs out and take the tin foil off the top to make it not closed anymore. Flip the ribs over and pour more of the marinated sauce on the ribs. After the second hour feel free o sprinkle some salt and pepper on the ribs. And again pour the marinated sauce on the ribs and cook for another hour. When the ribs are done you can turn the oven off and place them in the oven. When you want to eat the ribs you take them out and need to preheat the oven at 160 degrees for 30 minutes and then cook them for 30 min and enjoy.
